Roasted Traditionally

Kona coffee beans are traditionally roasted using a method called "medium roast". This means that the beans are heated to a temperature of around 400-430 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of 10-15 minutes, depending on the desired level of roast. During this time, the beans are constantly agitated to ensure even heating and to prevent scorching. As the beans roast, they go through several stages, including a drying phase, a yellowing phase, a first crack phase, and a second crack phase. The roaster carefully monitors the beans throughout the process to ensure that they are roasted to perfection. The end result is a flavorful and aromatic coffee with a rich, smooth taste and a slightly sweet finish.
